In 2004 the Tirrim primary began. The primary schools (elementary) grew quickly to over 200 students. Seeing there was such a need for a quality high school for these students, in 2009 the Tirrim secondary was started. In 2017, the Tirrim Group of Schools now consists of several nursery classes, one main primary school, another branch primary school, and a high school. Currently there are a total of 640 students. For the first time in the history of this area, children have the opportunity to learn at quality schools. They have a chance to move ahead in life and bring up the standard of living for their families that they care deeply about. Most importantly, these schools are Christian schools – under the Africa Inland Church. Education is provided with God’s word playing a central role in the purpose and plan. Many churches have taken over the work to evangelize the Gospel to their people groups and beyond. One major need for these indigenous ministry leaders is to have biblical training. Africa International University has been faithfully serving the church of East Africa since 1983, originally under the name Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology. Craig will have the opportunity to work with and teach ministry leaders who are working toward a seminary degree.
